The rocky southwestern Mediterranean coast of Turkey was completely undeveloped until the early 1980s so still offers some quiet spots among its fine beaches and dramatic scenery.
Antalya's airport is used for reaching resorts on the coast's eastern side. Destinations to the western side are served by Dalaman. Travellers should dress respectfully (no shorts / swimwear) when entering a religious building of any kind.
It is advisable for women to cover their arms, knees and shoulders at all times when away from beach areas, as well as their heads when entering a mosque.
